Lebanese women demand right to pass on nationality
The Daily Star: Hundreds of Lebanese women married to non-Lebanese gathered on Wednesday to protest against what they called an archaic law preventing them from passing their nationality onto their children and spouses. Hordes of women, children, and a few men gathered in Beirut's Riad al-Solh Square to wave banners and chant their demand: the immediate adoption of a law enabling women to confer their Lebanese nationality to their children and husbands.
